“I feel an obsessive attraction to spaces, gears, structures and relationships that hide information,” puzzles “where pieces are missing, the gaps that do not allow meaning or feelings to flow (...) I am a special envoy to the areas of domestic and political conflict trying to decipher the working patterns of my two favourite themes: love and the internet ”.
Tanit Plana (Barcelona, 1975) has a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the Pompeu Fabra University. His projects (Near infrared, Scale and fragment, The wood of code, among others) revolve around the investigation of the image. In addition to his teaching work at Pompeu fabra, he has received awards such as Fotopres 01, Photoespaña 2002 discovery and the BBVA Foundation Leonardo Grant in 2016. In 2018 with the title “It is what it is”, he presented a retrospective of his work on the Isabel II channel.
